In April 2021, a full scope of work was completed on the design, supply, and configuration of a hardware and software suite for operational and technological management of electric networks based on the CK-11 platform at Vologdaoblenergo JSC.

During the design phase, the phased deployment of CK-11 functions was defined, along with infrastructure requirements, computing capacity requirements, and personnel requirements. Rules for displaying technological information were also developed to ensure a smooth transition for users from the existing automated systems.

As part of the first stage of the project, a digital information model of the electric networks of Vologda and Cherepovets was created, comprising more than 3,800 transformer substations and distribution points. SCADA functions, an electronic operational logbook, automated switching forms, and equipment operational limits monitoring were deployed. Training was provided to Vologdaoblenergo JSC specialists on CK-11 operation and administration.

During the project, existing operational and technological management processes were reengineered. In particular, a new position of «data engineer» was created within the organizational structure of Vologdaoblenergo JSC, whose responsibilities include maintaining the data in the ADMS information model.

The deployment of CK-11 at the Vologdaoblenergo JSC grid control center will make it possible to consolidate operational and technological management of electric networks within a single unit and to improve the responsiveness in the event of power supply disruptions to consumers.
