NEW SECTION IN THE STAFF TRAINING LOGBOOK — LISTS OF RECOMMENDED TOPICS FOR CONTROL DRILLS
A new section has been added to the electronic Staff Training Logbook for maintaining lists of recommended topics for control drills. These key high-level documents, developed once every three years, serve as the foundation for creating annual and monthly thematic training plans. An approved list of recommended topics is automatically activated upon the expiration of its three-year validity period. This section enables the maintenance of primary and supplementary training topic lists for various departments, as well as the recording of reviewing and approving authorities, including the validity periods of the lists.
The linkage between the thematic plan and the recommended list enables tracking of the frequency of scheduled drills on a specific topic — a built-in counter next to the topic displays the exact number of exercises. This feature facilitates schedule development and enhances the quality of staff training, ensuring that drill topics are not repeated within a single year and encompass a variety of scenarios.
The development of this new section addressed the need for flexible customization of calendar training schedules. For instance, there is no limit to the number of recommended topics within a single list. Furthermore, when drafting annual and monthly drill schedules, any recommended topic can be edited to specify a particular equipment unit.
