UPDATED THE TOOL FOR AUTOMATIC GENERATION OF WORKPLACE PREPARATION MEASURES
Monitor Electric specialists are working on improving algorithms for the automatic generation of text for workplace preparation measures in electrical installations. The change will affect persons responsible for issuing work permits and is aimed at eliminating situations of ambiguous interpretation of instructions.

Work performed in the electrical network, such as isolating sections of overhead power lines or handling withdrawable elements of switching devices, requires the utmost concentration from the specialist issuing the permit. The slightest inaccuracy in the wording of safety measures, a missed switching device, or an unclear indication of the location for installing portable earthing creates a risk of a workplace situation threatening personnel safety.

The updated algorithms for automatically generating text for workplace preparation measures in work permits for electrical installations analyse the type of facility, its topological state, and voltage level. For withdrawable truck assemblies, the system will begin to generate an unambiguous command for disconnection and transfer to the maintenance position. When selecting an overhead line with voltage up to 20 kV as the facility, the algorithm will precisely identify only those devices that connect to the supply centre. A similar principle will be applied to line sections and disconnectors: the logic is built around accurately defining the disconnection boundary that ensures complete isolation of the workplace.

The implementation of these changes will reduce the number of manual corrections in work permits, minimising the human factor at the key stage of work planning, improve standardisation and unambiguous interpretation of preparatory operations, and reduce the time required for approval and issuance of documents.
