MONITOR ELECTRIC SPECIALISTS HAVE DEVELOPED ONE OF THE LARGEST DIGITAL MODELS IN RUSSIA
Bashkirenergo has deployed an automated process control system based on the CK-11 platform, which includes SCADA components, electronic logbooks, and the Emergency Load Shedding Schedule (ELSS/TLSS) application. As part of the implementation, a detailed digital model of the power grid equipment was created for the customer, compliant with international CIM standards. The Bashkirenergo electrical network model is one of the largest in Russia, comprising hundreds of 35–110 kV substations and tens of thousands of 6–10 kV distribution points/transformer substations. The enterprise supplies electricity to all districts of the region, serving approximately 4 million people, making the high quality of the digital model—developed and validated in record time—the primary achievement.
«On the customer side, our work was reviewed by highly qualified professionals who paid attention to every detail. The result of this collaboration is a model electrical network. Currently, we are regularly supplementing the model with new facilities being constructed through technological connection and under the development programme for Bashkortostan's electric power system,» said Alexey Lukashin, Project Manager for Electrical Networks at Monitor Electric.
One of the key events of the implementation was the testing of the ELSS/TLSS module. For the tests, several connections under TLSS were allocated at each of Bashkirenergo's dispatch centres across different substations, and both disconnection and reconnection of connections were performed with simulation of temporary load shedding schedule activation. All operations were completed without incident.
The implementation of SCADA, electronic logbooks, and ELSS/TLSS is the initial phase of cooperation between Monitor Electric and Bashkirenergo. The deployment of the network switching management system and GeoMAG — an application for managing the electrical network on a geographic map — has already commenced. The next phase will be the implementation of DMS calculation applications.
