IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF CONTROL MEASUREMENT ANALYTICS
The structure of unified power systems requires dispatch centres to maintain the highest level of synchronisation in generating source data for calculations. Verification of control measurements, historically tied to a single hour, created «blind spots» when analysing the dynamics of key parameters such as inter-system power flows or voltage levels at balance ownership boundaries. This limitation, driven by the volume of processed data and the architecture of earlier computing systems, did not allow for full assessment of discrepancies or identification of systematic telemetry errors manifesting over the course of operational days. The new algorithm of the CK-11 calculation and analytical applications will perform asynchronous processing of telemetry for selected 24‑hour periods. The solution will provide a panoramic information slice, aggregating data for each monitored object: from voltage nodes and transformer tap positions to power flows along inter-system transmission lines. This will enable dispatch and regime personnel to conduct comprehensive analysis of the power system model's compliance with the operational situation.
Providing specialists with access to the 24‑hour interval of control measurements addresses three critical operational tasks. First, it enables in‑depth analysis of the daily imbalance profile for a group of metering points, allowing identification of discrepancy patterns and their correlation with load changes. Second, it ensures end‑to‑end monitoring of voltage compliance and transformer tap positions (tap‑changer settings), eliminating errors when coordinating the regime with adjacent dispatch centres. Third, full continuity with existing procedures is preserved: all point‑in‑time checks for a specific hour remain available, while the new functionality adds a higher‑order analytical layer on top of them.
This step strengthens the role of CK‑11 calculation and analytical applications as a central node for regime activities, where data is not merely recorded but becomes the basis for predictive analytics and prevention of operational disturbances. The new functionality is currently in the testing phase and will be included in upcoming updates.
